When we’re overwhelmed by information, it can feel like our options are limited to one of two extremes - sink deeper or completely turn off the flow.
But maybe there are more options. Perhaps the process of figuring out what to do (in the midst of our overwhelm) starts with exploring our own priorities + asking a few key questions:
Why are we consuming the information we’re consuming?
How are we using the information we’re consuming?
After we consume information, what are we doing with it? Are we using information to create or to slowly sink into the sense of being perpetually stuck?
Understanding the very personal Why? behind the information we consume helps us make the shift towards clarity and away from confusion.
It points us towards making conscious choices as we learn more about the world around us, and positions us to engage with our own thoughts, fellow humans, and the world we live in.
